ABOUT ICG:
ICG is the maritime law enforcement, search, and rescue agency of India with jurisdiction over its territorial waters including its contiguous zone and EEZ. It is a multi-mission organization, conducting round-the-year real-life operations at sea. It has a wide range of task capabilities for both surface and air operations. It is headed by the Director General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG) who exercises his command and superintendence from the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) located at New Delhi. At CGHQ, he is assisted by four Deputy Director Generals of the rank of Inspector General, and other senior officers heading various staff divisions.

Navik (General Duty):
- 12th pass with maths and physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Navik(Domestic Branch):
- Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
Yantrik:
Class 10th passed from board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) AND Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
OR
Class 10th & Class 12th passed from board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
